chemo session 6

Chemo session six is officially done, and this one should be my last chemo. My immune system has been running a little low from treatment, even with the Neulasta shot that helps boost white blood cell count. I ended up in urgent care with a sinus infection. I deal with sinus issues often and can usually manage them with over the counter medication, but this time I had fever and chills and it was not clearing up on its own. I have been under the weather, which is why this update took a little longer. I am on antibiotics now, although it took a bit before they started helping.

Along with that, I have been busy with appointments as I prepare for my upcoming surgery. The first surgery is scheduled for Monday, March 16. My blood work was not exactly where the team wanted it to be, so I am praying that everything improves and that I am able to move forward with surgery on the sixteenth. I want to get that first surgery behind me. I am not looking forward to it, but it has to be done. The only way forward is through.

This next stretch will be a long road with many appointments and many trips to Wausau. Thank you all so much for your prayers. I appreciate every single one and ask that you continue to pray for me. Pray for my immune system and my labs to normalize so surgery can happen. Pray for strength and courage as I face surgery. And I pray that when surgery happens we receive a pathological complete response, so no further treatment will be needed afterward.

Thank you for being here and for lifting me up. Your support means more than you know.

I pray for your body and spirit to connect to the Holy Spirit and receive knowledge that works in the underlying layers of communication of your own Spirit to facilitate what it needs to for your body in this time of need for healing and restoration, and for your body to utilize the communication and carry out the activities your body needs.
